Renowned cellist to perform at Grace Church Feb. 14
Grace Episcopal Church in The Plains presents a special Valentine's Day concert with cellist Amit Peled.
Part of the 2015-16 Grace Church concert series, the performance will take place at 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14.
A renowned Israeli cellist, Mr. Peled has performed as a soloist with many orchestras worldwide and works as a professor at the Peabody Conservatory of Music of Johns Hopkins University.
Following a performance at Alice Tully Hall playing the Hindemith cello concerto, the New York Times stated that his playing possessed “glowing tone, a seductive timbre and emotionally pointed approach to phrasing that made you want to hear him again.”
Described as a profound artist with a charismatic stage presence, Mr. Peled will perform on a cello owned by the legendary musician Pablo Casals.
Noreen Polera will accompany on piano.
A reception with the artists will follow featuring Mars chocolates.
