He will be present the Montreal premiere of Tsintsadze’s Five Folk Pieces and Casal’s own Song of the Birds. The renowned Ysaye Quartet violist Miguel Da Silva will then join the legendary Fine Arts Quartet in Mendelssohn’s sparkling Viola Quintet Op. 87. The concert comes to a majestic close with all performers joining hands in the beautiful Sextet in B Flat Op. 18. This will be a special evening which explores the soulful tone and colours of the cello and presents some of the greatest chamber music repertoire ever written.
