Celebrating the centenary of Pablo Casals's 1915 U.S. tour and performing on Casals's own cello, renowned performer and pedagogue Amit Peled affectionately re-creates the legend's program of cello favorites. The program also features a new work by composer Lera Auerbach, commissioned by Washington Performing Arts to celebrate this extraordinary occasion.
